Long week of being outside! I am either a total wuss (doubt it!) or that flu/bronchitis took its toll on me...
Three days of 'field day' at my school means standing outside each day manning a station. Tuesday and today were tug-of-war, yesterday was races. I need a nap! My forearms have a nice tan, though. I rarely use sunblock and I tan pretty easily, my mom and sisters are fair and freckled w/blue eyes so they basically hate me! Somehow I got the green eyes and darker complexion of my grandfather...
Anyway lots of cat-herding. Amazing you can say, "Do not pick up the rope until I tell you to" a dozen times and the first thing they do when they stand up is run and grab the rope.
Not much else new, Dan interactions are random and limited. He was supposed to be in Canada this week so kids were 'mine' but flight was canceled due to storms Tuesday night. So I took the kids after school Weds (normally his night) and he was going to pick up Nate for baseball. It was 5:50 (practice at 6) so I texted I would take him. He replied back to just have him ready to go. Grr!! He showed up at 5:58 and was short with me but I gave him the look and he stopped being snippy. He no longer gets to take his frustration over being late to stuff out on me!
Anyway he texted me at ten last night asking if I had seen "Bobbi's cell phone" then sent back "I mean Sydney's"...guess she took her toy phone to his house and lost it? I checked the house and sent back that I didn't have it.
Then this morning he calls and says he left Sydney's glasses at his house, can he drop them by mine so I get them to her at school. I said fine, he left them in my car (it was unlocked) and I didn't even see him.
Now this afternoon I get back from field day to a text and an email wanting Nathan's shoe size? I guess he wants baseball cleats and Dan is getting some. Works for me, he can spend the $$!
Starving and feel like being lazy. However I know I should take the kids outside to play after school as it is a lovely, gorgeous day out there! Netflix is sending us "The Blind Side" and "Iron Man" today, Nathan wants to see Iron Man so he can then watch the sequel. I will probably watch The Blind Side after they are in bed as I am not sure it will hold their interest.
