Both have golf and spas and a variety of dining and other activities. Plus both have promotional weekend rates, one as low as $89/night and one $99/night, Thurs-Sunday...
If it is Tucson I am sure there are several hotels with golf and spas. Since half the country wants to boycott the state I bet we can get good deals! I am happy to go to Arizona...no discrimination here.
Weather in Tucson will be about the same as here except the thunderstorms. So I'm fine with that. I could get a ticket for about $250 I think. I'm not sure about the other places.

The nice thing about Arizona is it is mostly a Dry Heat with a Monsoon season mixed in. The lady I am dating lived in Des Moine Iowa for a while (where she met her H) and says it is so hot and muggy there during the summer and freak'n cold during the winter. I am quite happy that the Pacific NW has a pretty mild climate.
I actually prefer the heat. I HATE being cold. And I get cold so easily. I think a nice dry 85 with a breeze is like the perfect temp! And anything up to 100 isn't bad. The days it breaks 110 are definitely a bit much, but luckily they are pretty few here.
Oh, but I will be bringing jeans and sweaters to Tucson. Cuz of the elevation it gets quite chilly at night compared to nor cal.

Michelle - Where in northern California? When I lived in Klamath Falls Oregon, I was a self proclaimed Shastaholic as I was obsessed with climbing and skiing that mountain (and it's little sister Shastina). The views of the Trinity Alps were outstanding! Would you mind if we annexed everything north of Redding to be part of Oregon?
Have you ever visited the Lava Beds National Monument?
I'm in Sacramento right now. Lived in Paradise for a few years (up by Chico) and have also lived out in Vacaville.
My mom's side of the family is roundabouts Eugene and Marcola.
I have been to Shasta quite a few times, I was in a baby carrier the first time I went up it LOL. Haven't been to Lava Beds in years, but I have been. Fun stuffs.
Why just north of Redding? If you're gonna go that far might as well take Redding LOL.

Looking at a map, I would say that Sacramento is central California.
I have a deceased aunt who lived in Vacaville.
The Lava Beds is indeed a lot of fun with all the lava tube caves to explore. And the history of the battles between the Modocs and the US Army is very interesting.
