It gets hot. July is actually not the hottest, as there is a little humidity, which leads to thunderstorms. But, I would say it would be in the neighborhood of 100 every day.
The advantage of July in Tucson is that it is cheaper than most of the rest of the year.
The mountains would be nice... it still could be hot though! And probably more expensive. But... any ideas? I'm up for options.
I wonder if some of the ski resorts in Utah or Colorado are cheap in the summer?
Wouldn't you know I now have a vacation day tomorrow. I was just thinking maybe that was a bit of a drawback being so hot. I do melt but I thought as long as there was a pool and ac I would be good. I am really partial to TN but I would be happy searching Colorado too. Cooler is always good.
Thanks for letting me get in on planning!!

I'm not convinced TN would be enough cooler in the summer, and humid too! My sister is in the hills of eastern TN, and I remember some steamy Memorial days visiting there!
So far the hotel seem to be around the same range if not cheaper but I was looking at Salt Lake City and Denver. There seems to be plenty to do if everyone isn't in the sit around and talk mood. What do you want in a hotel and I can try and get more specific. I will be jetting by AAA today and getting some books so that will help!
Sorry, I love this stuff.

Bring it on kat! I wish I could go but going anywhere that is going to require a flight is financially impossible for me right now. Now if TN were an option.......I can drive there!!!!
