feel like giving up - pt 2

Thank you Serenity...means much to me!

Well I got my first temporary alimony/child support check deposited today. It figures it wasn't the whole amount. There is a little missing but we'll see whats going on there.

I'm gonna vent here for a minute. I was having an ok day then my daughter came home from school with a frown on her face. I said what's wrong? She says, "nothing" but my older son says, "she's upset cuz dad didn't say I love you back to her."

Yesterday she talked to him asking him for money (for prom and end of year stuff) and he was short with her. I was right next to her there was no reason - she wasn't being a brat just asking for him to deposit something. He said "he'd look into it." She said, "no dad prom is saturday I need money now" He got upset with her and said she was being disrespectful. She kept saying it's not fair you spent $500 for older son's prom and why are you being this way with me? anyway...she ended the conversation by saying "I love you" and he did not respond.

Today evidently she said "ILY" at the end of the conversation and he replies "ok." I think that's really sh*tty man. He knows how sensitive she is. She takes that stuff to heart. She feels her dad (who is her freaking hero) doesn't care about her! What the heck? I had a sad cry after the kids left but had to hurry up and cut it short cuz the younger one was coming home shortly.

This is hell. My older son says to me...(after hearing a woman talking in the backround when daughter was on phone with dad)

S - mom I don't get it
M - what?
S - the women of today
M - oh you mean women who go after married men?
S - yeah, it's sick
M - it is...really
S - I'm writing my sociology paper on divorce
M - well what I don't get is why these homewreckers don't understand they're only getting H A L F.

Ok..that's a long enough post huh? lol jeez people I've had such a rollercoaster of emotions these last two days!
