Actually SR, she asked me a few months ago if I would be interested in spending a week with her and the kids and a group of our friends at the cottage this summer. I said NO to that! I told her I would find that emotionally difficult and therefore would not be going.

Good for you.

Thanks for checking in SR! My computer died on me again last week so it's in for repair therefore no exciting updates from Whatis this weekend. It was a holiday weekend in Canada so I had three days off. I'm still trying to shake this flu bug, I was feeling somewhat better during the week and then late Saturday night it hit me again! I'm at work today and hopefully another good nights sleep will put this to rest. Otherwise, not much to report. I bought a sketch book and some pencils on the weekend and have done some amazing (not) sketches of my bible, a spoon, and a pencil. My D16 is an amazing artist so I'm asking her for pointers. So, that's it for now, back to work!

Hey, I just talked to a couple of other sickos at my workplace who have the same symptoms as me, for as long as me, and they went to their doctors. One doctor said "I don't know what it is but don't worry about it" and the other said "it's environmental". Wow, now that's helpful! I think I'll just nurse myself through this alone smile

You're assuming that both sides of my brain are still operational. I may have no choice in the matter! grin Actually, I had that book years ago, I think it may still be packed in a box left in STBX's basement, I'll look tonight when I pick up the kids. Thanks Ellie.

Well, just to update all of you who are following my incredible journey, I drew two bananas last night...it doesn't get much better than that, does it! Btw Ellie, I bought the book and there is not one fruit sketch in it. Whoever heard of sketching without fruit, can it be done???? I was considering sketching a banana between two apples but I thought I'd wait until my skill level improves. It'll give me something lewd and crude to shoot for. grin

You are cracking this art teacher up!

Get e mirror to use the book....or a photograph.

Why two bananas? And if you want to do multiples, compositions look better with threes than with pairs, usually...

Donna, that's why I'm looking for three nude female models. It's all for the art!
