I dropped off our signed papers with my attorney on a Friday, the following Monday was President's Day, he said he would get them over to the judge "Probably Tuesday"...I didn't know for sure when our D was finalized until a week or two later when I got my copy of the decree in the mail...pretty anticlimactic....
Mine was the same. A year after we separated X was able to give a deposition that we had lived apart for a year and file the paperwork necessary. I found out I was divorced, a few days after the judge signed it, by looking online. Within two weeks X was married to OW.
