Actually, GG, I meant to say that I went from 8 to 12, not 5 to 12.

This week, I will be working on adding new parts to the weight-lifting routine.

I hate cardio. There, I said it. I like the way my skin looks and I do feel good afterwards, but it does take a lot of motivation, sigh.

Forward, I hear you on the cardio, but it boils down to choices. If you want a nice body, you have to make the sacrifices! Glam is absolutely right about the leg workout. If you want nice legs and a tight behind, you must squat and do lounges.

Yeah, BH, I know. I am keeping it up...but I wish I could just pay some money and look great.

Tried the lunges--good lord!! That was hard, and I used only 5 pound weights.

I also did 3 sets of 15 lunges and 3 sets of 15 squats today. You are right Forward that was hard, but so worth it in the end to get that fit body.

Can't I reward myself with a big bowl of ice cream???

Well, I seem to have lost a size but very little weight. I wasn't trying to lose weight originally but now I am starting to think that I wouldn't mind dropping some off.

I am now doing cardio 20 min every other day, weight lifting every other day and yoga 2x/week.

Feels good to feel good....

Forward, you lost a size? That's great! Don't worry about "weight" go by size loss. You are building muscle and losing fat, that is why you aren't seeing a big weight loss, which is better! Keep up the hard work and NO YOU CAN'T HAVE ICE CREAM!!! LOL

You're a hard driver.

I think I will start a new version of this thread to encourage newbies in this direction.....

Trying different cardio today, I think....I am bored with what I have been doing.

Forward, I am a hard charger, can't you tell? LOL Its good that you are switching up cardio, keep your body guessing, do the same thing with your weight training. My weightlifting workout is scientific cycling with lots of different percentages, exercises, and reps. I always try to keep my body guessing with my routines!
