If Nathan likes baseball no one will have to push him. I was awful when I started. They even put me on a different field with the other awful players so we wouldn't get hurt. But I liked it and bugged my dad to play every day when he got home. When he wasn't home I threw ball after ball off the house.
By the end of the year I was the best player on the team.
I agree on making activity a must before doing anything else. I'm dragging D11 to the pool to swim every day I can. She's starting to get curves, hates to run and is complaining about her weight. The best way to take care of that is to move.
D7 is always moving, we just have to find something organized for her -- although STBXW doesn't appear to be lining anything up for this summer.
