Yes, much focus needed for the aforementioned furnishings laugh

Appointment made with a Lawyer on Monday @ 4pm.

Turns out there a few banking glitches in changing over the DD's.

Nothing is as simple as it seems....

Onwards and upwards, to infinity and beyond....

Now that the ball has started rolling, I do feel a little better.I intend to focus on getting the house straightened up and tidied - It looks like I have been burgled.

In some ways I have been burgled.

Got to find a bed for my boys, this is becoming a priority. They next sleep over on Wednesday.

Regards,
Gyn.

have you spoken to someone yet about the possessions in your home, ie. police, lawyer, etc.

What's the banking glitch? I just opened a new account and had my direct deposit sent to it, instead of to our joint account. Then I transferred a stipend over to the joint account each payday so that my wife's and kids' needs were met -- no more.

Will be speaking to a lawyer on Monday.

The banking clitch is because it is changing from one account type to another, but within the same company.
If it had been a change to a different bank there would have been no issues.
Basically some of the DD's have moved to the other account, but some won't. These will have to be cancelled and then restarted.
Not quite plain sailing, but it is ok.

Spoken to someone who has gone through a D, and he told me about how I will need to jump through a lot of hoops, and find some kind of fair payment to help pay for the kids.

I am certain that she has not thought about these issues up until yesterday where I informed her that I was changing banking details.
I fear that only now are the full consequences are opening up in her mind.

How can she think that this is a better option than working at the M and by staying at home.
She still has not mentioned D.

I am just ranting a little.

Gyn, I think you HAVE been!

Most lawyers will talk to you a little about your situation over the phone before you have to go in for an appointment.

Did you ask any lawyers about this/tell them that she took all the kids stuff? You might feel different when you know what your rights are.

You've got all week. Call a few more lawyers and get informed! The calls won't cost you anything.

Plus, taking these actions can help with your blues.

Good point with getting more info off other lawyers.

Deeply blue at the mo.

Had a tearful departure from my boys, and I won't see them till 7pm Wednesday.

Got more info from the net, which tells me that my WAW may not get all the financial help she expects, and that as she is till on the mortgage, she technically has a place to stay and so can get very limited help...

I've been advised to be proactive in setting up care arrangements for the boys.
It would be best for us all if I was proactive in setting up some financial help for them as well.

But this will be directed by the legal advice I will be given.

This now makes the advice I've been given in the previous post to get multiple appointments, and then use the info I get off one to ask better questions of the next lawyer I see.

I would advise you all to go and put on some Dire Straits - on high volume - and open a cold one.

Blimey, I had forgotten how good is their music is .
(I suspect the stiff cold one also helps set the mood).

Dum dee dee dahh, scared for life, no compensation, (whisper) private investigations........dum....dum....dum....dum....(spanish guitar).....

Play that air guitar baby!!

Lets see what tomorrow brings!

Gyn.

Let us know when you talk to a few lawyers on the phone, and what they advise you about your wife taking all your kids stuff from their home.

I hope you are doing well.

Spent a sad day tidying up the house from after the WAW's burglary.

Went out and bought some CD shelving units to store some stuff and gave the downstairs a good clean.

Really struggled to get out of bed this morning, so I pinched a few hours as Duvet time and hid from the world.

Close female friend came over today and we had a good heart to heart.

She basically told me what you guys and gals have been saying and to get my head down and move on.

More easily said than done.

Today I am coming to the conclusion that I have done all that I can, and that the big D may be the quickest way out of this mess.

Me and the WAW are still talking calmly to each other and when I said that I was going to have to buy new beds for the kids she offered to have the kids beds brought back over permanently. But this would have meant that the kids would be sleeping on an air bed at hers - which is not acceptable to me and unfair on the kids. So I said for her to keep the bunk beds.

But this is another measure of how she is doing anything I ask to help ease the situation she created.

She could just be acting nice to me until she side-swipes me with a petition for D, but I don't get that feeling. I think we are at the moment at the limit of what she has planned.

If I do decide to go down the D route I need to do it because I want to and that I am ready for it.
I intend to give it a few weeks to allow my emotions to settle and for the fog to clear a little more before I decide.
That is, if she hasn't done it before me.

I have the kids now from 7.15 till 7pm tomorrow.

Regards,
Gyn.

can you explain the custody arrangement you have,
7pm tonight to 7pm tomorrow,
what's the logic behind this?

How often do you get the kids?
