I , you know, would vote for that one... me of the big mouth... with a big bold stress in the calm part.

Also I would disociate it from any particular incident by waiting a while and asking when he is in a good mood and preferrably when he has called to say when he is going to come home.

You may want to make it into a 'me statement': I really appreciate it when... because..."

But all y'all know me: the when in doubt take the direct approach kinda gal.
