I HATE Those stinking flashbacks...the emotional kind, where you're again in that DOUBTING mode.
You're right, probably IS nothing...or if he's feeling like he needs some time on his own, take a drive or something, it's very good that you didn't query him about it...why make the last interaction before he heads out be a negative one?
It would be SO hard for me, though, I must say. CJ always mentions where he's off to now. (for example at this second....to the grocery store).
Could it be a test, even if unconscious? How would the "old" Jeannine have reacted? Or when he gets home?
Tough calls once we're piecing...do we let it go, DB our butts off...or do we start calling them on stuff?
Or an intermediate, calm request that if one of you is going out for longer than an hour or so, you let the other know out of courtesy? So they don't worry?
Of course in the bad days when I asked this of CJ, he told me he felt like I was his parole officer!
