The banking clitch is because it is changing from one account type to another, but within the same company. If it had been a change to a different bank there would have been no issues. Basically some of the DD's have moved to the other account, but some won't. These will have to be cancelled and then restarted. Not quite plain sailing, but it is ok.
Spoken to someone who has gone through a D, and he told me about how I will need to jump through a lot of hoops, and find some kind of fair payment to help pay for the kids.
I am certain that she has not thought about these issues up until yesterday where I informed her that I was changing banking details. I fear that only now are the full consequences are opening up in her mind.
How can she think that this is a better option than working at the M and by staying at home. She still has not mentioned D.
