No, I haven't read the Conway book yet. It's on the list
You can read the whole book in two days. Or if you read a chapter a night a couple of weeks. It is an easy read.

Hey SA,

I agree with OldPilot, it is an easy read & like I said before, my H fit it to a tee!! I was shocked!!

Thank for your support on the legal stuff, you would think that I wouldn't have to deal with this after all this time, but of course he didn't take care of it now I do! I doubt he even knows this is going on.

Hang in there, I think you are doing wonderful!!!

OK, I've got a question. Only asking out of curiosity.

S26 and DIL had a retirement party to attend today. Since H and S work together H was there too with ow in tow. S26 was mentioning putting up hay and H kept referring to the fields as 'our' fields. DIL mentioned that she and D11 seen a big snake and H said, "Oh, 'we' have snakes again?"

H was the one who left stating he wanted nothing more to do with the farm or the responsibility of it financially or otherwise. Why does he continue (done this before, too) to refer to it as if he's a part of it?

SA,

Sometimes they slip…

The fact that he still has a legal footing (ie, ownership), gives him the room to occasionally allow himself to go to that place of we in his mind.

You are seeing glimpses. Glimpses into the fact that he has not erased you and your life completely from his mind.

Keep working on yourself SA, and the kids, they seem to be able to handle their father pretty well.

SA,

I think it's nice that he says that, he can picture himself there.

My WH is always refering to things without me. He will do some work in "my" garden, he will tell me what work "I" will have to do on "my" property in the future when he's not there to help me anymore, that "I" will have to learn more house maintenance, what "I" should do to "my" room. Drives me crazy, he leaves and then thinks he can tell me what to do, all while emphasizing his absence. I wish he would talk like your H!

Maybe the grass is always greener somewhere else, no doubt it's hard both ways!

Thanks for your input everybody!

I do not analyze all the things that H does and says. Most of it is chalked up to H being batschitt crazy. Just once in a while my curiosity gets the better of me and I like to hear what you folks' take is on it.

Mach - the fertilizer of choice around here is HS. The H in this case stands for horse. I've had my fill of H's crap...
