Although it seems like a long road, and it is, it is a lot shorter than it was 6 months ago. It is good that H has asked you to help him out after the surgery. You were hoping for that and he did ask so that is great. I would just say as it gets closer as H where he is planning on staying so you can make arrangements to be there with him to help him. Not nagging, but so you know what to pack or what to bring etc.

There is still a long way to go, and really no reason to hope too much since H still does not ever follow through, but there is hope so that is awesome.
