D4's princess and knight birthday party was a success! Creating a wonderful celebration for my beautiful girl feels like a triumph . There were guests ranging from 4-9 years old and a pile of adults, Playdoh, a yummy lunch, capturing the dragon, sword duels, recovering the royal jewels from the sandbox, perfect cupcakes, a simple but nifty craft, and a transformation of the community's "common house". It was a very relaxed vibe and I was surrounded by friends.
H was gracious today as the dragon and managed to hold it together and even chat with BIL. I admit, I'm feeling worried about H.
I have a nasty cold and I am losing my voice at this point. After the party was a huge cleanup then lots of hands-on supervision in the courtyard. The children are staying at H's place tonight. I'm exhausted and plan to relax for the rest of the day.
