Wow, I just finished a workout and feel fantastic. I don't notice a difference in weight, but my clothing size is smaller now. That is a plus. Down side: I don't have enough clothes that fit well.

Really, DBers, this is a great way to feel good. Better than alcohol. OK, maybe not entirely, but seriously, it is a healthy way to cope with stress and your spouse might notice! And if your spouse doesn't, somebody else will.

I did not need to lose weight (although I am flabbier in arms and abs than I would like), but the exercise takes the edge off stress, puts me in a good mood, improves my skin, and, of course, adds some muscle. I am much more durable than I was even a month ago.

And--DBers, it is free. FREE! Or at least I have worked the crap out of this little weight set that I got for maybe $15.

I'm almost ready for the 10-pound weights. My biggest surprise with weight-lifting has been that it is not very time-consuming (plus!). Thanks to BH and others, I learned you do not need to lift weights daily; you can do it every other day or so.

So I don't have Mrs. Obama's arms yet, but I think it is possible that I could get there....

I should mention that this is also a 180 for me. I am not officially DBing any more (in that I am now dating others) but I think it's been a good growth experience, which is what DBing should be about.
