So, I sent Mind a couple pics of SemperFi(street bike guy) this morning, and she thinks I am crazy for hesitating! I already replied back that Friday evening, and the restaurant, worked for me.
I liked how he invited me...he said something about loving a girl in a dress but jeans are good, too. I replied it depended on the place. He replied back mentioning the steak place, then said, "But this is a team thing. You can pick the first time."
Seriously? There are team players out there who aren't all "me, me, me"?? Who knew?

Btw Kerry I saw your post on my old thread. Yeah, I know it is a pricey place. But who knows maybe we will just get drinks and appetizers...they have an upstairs area with a second bar, shuffleboard, darts, and pool. Very interesting place.
And hey, if I am getting a meal, it may as well be a good one!

I was at first curious why he would want it, but realized not my problem. So I replied back...
Me: I imagine it is on the school website, but should be same format as mine {meaning, last name, first initial @ schooldistrict, which he knows from emailing me}
Him: It is, do you guys have power point on your computers and a color printer???
Me: Power point yes color printer no [At this point have figured out it is Nathan's assignment where a character from a story--Flat Stanley--is to travel with someone else and write back. So he gave Stanley to Dan to take to Canada.]
H: Flat Stanley Book...Hope it is not too long???

Seriously he did not need me to hold his hand to email in a little story activity! Don't know why he still does that. It was almost like he either wanted to impress me with his "Power Point Color Presentation" or he wanted me to stroke his ego/validate him and tell him how great it was that he was doing this for Nathan. I didn't do either...
I think you are right. Sometimes he tries to prove to me that he is a good dad, I think. Too bad his kids would rather have an intact family with a strong father/leader than have some cool presentations once in a while!

Question for you.....did you ever date a Marine before? If not, prepare yourself. There are NO former Marines. In or out of active duty, they carry themselves the way the Corps taught them for the rest of their lives.

Never have dated a Marine...but I have uncles left and right from every branch of the armed services except for the Coast Guard!
However not sure this guy's story...his profile says Dad-Marines, Mom-Navy. Then under his favorite things he lists Marines, and he is wearing a MARINES shirt in a pic or two on his profile. However know he does some sort of software/technology job. The word CISCO was in there somewhere--see I am so NOT a techie!
Hopefully the respect side of the military will carry over...
