I think it might be a step forward that you are having these feeling. I think it means you are starting to be able to let down your guard a bit. The down side is, we can get hurt. But the upside will outweigh that, in the end.

I think you are right. I was so tentative when we first started talking again. Then I just let myself feel. I didn't think jealousy/insecurity would be some of those feelings. Now that has come up, I wonder if it isn't some sort of residual emotions from being cheated on.

Being forced to step back due to the timing of all this does hurt because I put myself out there. It sort of feels like rejection again. These are issues I need to work through and thankfully, I have the time to do that.

Really I feel it is so important to stress these are MY issues.

I think I really need to look at this situation and see why I am scared. Do I have a reason to feel jealous or insecure? Those are hard questions. So I guess this just goes to show that I am still a work in progress.

Thinking out loud:
I had two really great "dates" with him. We talked about planning out something else but nothing concrete.
Issue: He had a conference close by and I hoped he would get to see me. I felt let down by my own expectations when he couldn't.
Issue: He had plans to meet up with a couple of college friends and he brought his family too. I had no thought of seeing him but I felt bad when I saw a picture he posted and she really is gorgeous.

Ok that is just a start. I have to boogie to make it to the movie. Will post more later.

Ok more thoughts:

I was trying to see if I could see him on a particular weekend and that is when he told me he would be on vacation with his family then. Also running all over the state since he consults for about a 100 facilities.

Issue: I got bummed out again. Feeling left out. As I write this I am starting to see a pattern. Today I found out just his friend posting on FB that she was going to be in Florida too. All my insecurities came rushing to the surface.

See I told you he didn't do anything. This has been me and setting expectations and getting my hopes up. I am an idiot!!
