I didn't mediate, however my ex never bothered to get a lawyer. I wrote everything up with some (minimal) input from ex, then took it to my lawyer. He drafted it and we both signed it. Done deal. Only 3 face to face sit-downs with my attorney and ex never even saw my attorney just signed and gave me back his copy of stuff.
