I'm not sure if this would help, since your kids are older, and might think you're a freak... LOL But, I took S10 to our church sanctuary this am (after seeing the orthopedic surgeon, and getting better news). I told him we could talk about or pray about whatever he wanted. And, we did. It was a real neat moment between mom and son.
