Or it's their attempt and being "friends". It makes them feel better about what they are doing, removes guilt. So they may be doing the nice things for them...not for us.

Wow, I think what Mila said too! I don't know about this specific sitch, but in general, the "niceness" during the MLC is about them feeling like they helped us, so they can feel better about themselves.
It is hard to say...he had switched to graveyard shift a few months before the bomb so know he didn't always have proper sleep. I really only noticed his moods post bomb but he had been becoming more impatient with kids etc. pre-bomb.

Just putting my two bits in, so we can compare notes. I have noticed my H's moods, nastiness, coldness, criticism.....for about 6 months before the bomb, that's how long the affair was on before I discovered it. After he moved out he was very very nice to me.
