So I'm not the type of guy that reads horoscope but I did today and sadly a lot of it rings true! lol

Here's what it says about 2010 for both W (first) and me (second):

Quote:
A lot of last year’s difficulties, if you think about it, boiled down to a lot of fiddly little details getting in the way of you realizing your dreams. Let’s be honest about it, Aries: struggling with the small stuff just isn’t your style. In the next year, you’ll find that a lot of these pressures ease off, to the point where your biggest issue may be other people’s ability to keep up with you!

The months surrounding your birthday will bring more than the usual amount of Spring Fever. You’ll be facing an urge to bust loose from your limitations and, properly handled, that energy will push you to new highs as far as you General satisfaction with life. The summer will find you speaking your mind more with those who are closest to you. You may not have been shy about expressing yourself before, but it’s as if you needed to find just the right words.

In the past, knowing what you want out of life and getting the co-operation of those closest to you haven’t always gone hand in hand. That theme will carry on throughout much of the year, and will come to a peak again in December. At times there may be frustrations, but if you keep a level head, you’ll probably find that those around you really are on your team, ultimately.

Mine:
Quote:

One of the things that never seems to come across in those generic descriptions of Capricorns is their inherent sweetness. You’re every bit as kind and caring as anyone else (if not more so), but have a tendency to hide it behind a mask that downplays your vulnerability. Now that Pluto (the planet which is best at blowing things up) has moved into your sign, and Saturn has moved into your Tenth (the Work House).

Although this one-two punch might be too much for lesser souls to handle, you’re well equipped with the tenacity to not only survive these circumstances, but in fact come out ahead on the deal. Think of these two planetary placements as bringing new ways to bring out your inner strength, without you having to lose that sweetness and kindness you’ve had all along.

Pluto has moved from the spooky funhouse of your Twelfth House into the light of day, figuratively speaking, in your First House. This means you’ll be focusing on how you see the world, and how it sees you, in new and powerful ways. Think of it as an opportunity to evolve into a higher form of yourself.

Capricorn is actually ruled by Saturn, which not only represents difficulties and limitations (every planet has its bad side), but also represents the obstacles you have to overcome to get what you want out of life. In your Fourth House now, this means questions around your home life, and brings the chance to (literally) put your house in order. The next year’s difficulties will mostly serve as an opportunity for everyone else to admire how well you overcame them. And you will!

Wow, SR, yours is SCARY accurate. And I want you to print it out and refer to it often, particularly the inner strength parts. Where did you get it- I want to read mine now!!

http://www.astrology.com/horoscopes/

They have a drop down for the daily, weekly, monthly, yearly etc horoscopes.

I thought her's was even more accurate than mine. Mine didn't have a lot of substance like hers.

Love your signature smile

It's been a few days since I've updated my thread.

Well, not much to report other than DD and STBXW are visiting her family out of town this week so it's been extra quiet. I sent her an email a few days ago suggesting settling things out of court but no response to that at all.

Last night DD didn't call to say goodnight nor did STBXW text me anything about DD. I kinda expected that, STBXW has a tendency to hit me where it hurts. But I'm sure DD is doing fine and having a good time with her cousins so I'm not going to worry about it.

In terms of GAL'ing I'm supposed to have dinner with a friend and his wife this weekend and run lots of errands (laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, paying bills, mowing the lawn etc).

Here's Flowmom's Rx for Romeo (I refuse to even call you SR wink ):

once a week, do something social that's outside of your comfort zone...I don't care what it is!

It would be a great 180 for you. Find people who have positive energy and surf off that when you can't dredge it up within yourself.

And look at whether you're depressed. Talk to your doctor. Depression can be triggered by outside circumstances, and it can make it hard to move forward. I'm not trying to diagnose you on the internet, but I just have to share that it feels so good to not be stuck on negative, painful thoughts all the time like I was before starting ADs.

FM, just to be funny I was thinking of changing my handle to MyHotRomeo, that way whenever you ladies reply by saying "MyHotRomeo..." I'd get an ego boost laugh

Well I've never felt depressed before in my life but now I do sometimes. It's mostly because of the lonliness and the constant thoughts - they do take a toll on you.

LOL!

I hope you'll do something about the depression. It's going a be a tough road for the next few months, but you don't any points for doing extra suffering.

OK, I have a question for the busy single parents here. I don't have time to cook meals and even if I did I don't enjoy it. However, I'm getting tired of eating out and need some ideas from you guys what stuff I can make quickly (5-10 mins)- besides PB&J/spagetti/mac-n-cheese/ramen noodles smile

When I got to the grocery store I want to be able to pick up some items that will last me at least a week without going bad yet allow me to make a different things every day. For example, eggs and tuna cans are two examples of these items. I can put either of these in a sandwhich, soup, with rice etc and they'll usually last quite a while before going bad (tuna cans can last really long).

I'd prefer the food to be healthy since DD will be eating it too.

First thing comes to my mind is I love my crockpot... Put it together 5 minutes before I leave for work ... Cooks on low all day... Dinner's ready when I walk in the door...

Will look up some recipes if you'd like...

Ahhhhh SR, I've been thinking about this a lot with two boys to feed. I started out with a lot of burgers and pizza, suprise. Next I moved on to stopping by Safeway on the way home and picking up a ready-to-go roasted chicken in the deli department, or a meatloaf, and the heat-em-up side dishes. That's really convienent.

Now I'm doing more real grocery shopping and planning out some meals. One thing I'm doing is getting a package of fresh chicken breasts, put them in tupperware with BBQ sauce for a few days, and pop them on the grill, doesn't take long for them to cook and it's really good. My boys didn't like spaghetti too much, but right now they like the rotary pasta (whatever it's called), I just mix in the meat / maranara sauce with the pasta and put it in tupperware, you can get a few meals out of that, again, just heat it up. Frozen vegetables are your friend - pour some in a bowl, add a little water and butter, and 3 minutes later have vegetables for everyone. We're buying a LOT of fruit too. That's a cool thing actually - seems like real, healthy food can be easy. Cut up some apples or oranges, just takes a minutes, and that's part of the meal. My boys ate a whole pineapple today. Healthy, and a treat for them. One of my boys does love tuna, so tuna sandwiches are a staple for him (I'm making lunches every day too). Mmmmm... stock your fridge with yogurt, that's handy to have around. I also always make sure I've got a packages of romain hearts in the fridge - seriously, rip off some lettuce, add some baby carrots or whatever, you've got a simple salad in under a minute.

It's kind of weird - I've EATEN all my life. But when it comes to WHAT TO MAKE it's taken a lot of doing. Yeah, I don't have a lot of time to make a lasagana or enchiladas. I'm still expanding my vision here, but we're not going hungry.
