Oh gosh, NLT! I have lived in two cities that flooded ---- not a pleasant experience at all. Thankfully, we also lived on hills at those times. I am glad you are okay, and will pray for those being displaced by the extreme weather.

Hi BeingMe,

Yes, this is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life! Thank goodness, I'm on a hill & I do not have to go anywhere today! They are still having to rescue people. Of all things, the Opryland Hotel had to be evacuated last night & this morning it is flooded as other hotels in the area are flooded also.

So many people have lost their homes, it is very sad!

Hi Andabelle,

No, I'm not going to be stuck. Most of the water is going down around me, but downtown the river is still rising so it is really bad there & on the other side of town, they are still rescuing people. I should be able to get to my office tomorrow & I plan to go visit my parents this weekend (out of state) so I will take clothes with me to wash b/c one of the water treatment plants is under water & they do not know when it will be up & working again, so they have ask us to cut our water use in half. They said we could use it for drinking & cooking but reduce flushing & showers, no washing dishes, clothes or cars or water the lawn, like it really needs it now. Said if you don't have to take a shower, don't. It could get really serious by the end of this week. They are talking about Ground Zero on the news but ground zero is not in one central place, it's all over in many areas. Never dreamed this could happen here & so many people do not have flood insurance, it's so sad! I really feel for these people!

Sending best wishes that you and yours are not affected by this flood... we had it pretty bad around me last month. It's crazy the amount of water coming down around us now, not to mention earth quakes, tsunamis, etc.

Yes, it has been very bad around here. I'm just so blessed & so thankful, I'm fine & my home is fine. So many others have lost so much. My heart goes out to them!! Our city is strong & one thing about it, everyone is helping everyone. There has been no reported looting, it's just amazing have people are coming together.

M&H, I'm so sorry, you have had a lot going on in your area, we haven't had the earthquakes, not here anyway - east of here but they were small. So many things happening all over the world.

I pray for everyone involved.

Thank you all for your support!!!

Hi Confusedwife!

Sorry, I went out of town & haven't been on this site. I'm doing all right. Everyone around here is still trying to recover from all the flooding, but we are coming together.

I'm just so thankful, I'm fine & my home is fine but just down the hill from me, so many houses are damaged. So sad!!

I'm not sure what you mean by alt?? Sorry, I'm not good on the abrevations.

Here is the latest on the timeshare thing. I sent the collection agency a certified letter along with the D contract showing that I am released from all responsibilities of the timeshare, also I put in there my ex's brother's address for contact. The collection agency sent, in ex's name only a letter today. They were supposed to send me something 5 days after they first contacted me, but they didn't. I just put on the envelope, return to sender, no longer at this address & stuck it back in the mail to the collection agency. On the back I put ex's brothers address. It did not have my name on there, so I'm hoping & praying that I am no longer on this so the collection agency can come after me. I'm still going to get a credit report, I'm giving them time I think it takes about 45 days after they contact you that they will turn it into the credit reporting companies. I sure hope this works!!!

((((HUGS))))
