Well, what a weekend! We have had so much rain, just about the whole city is under water!! Just at my house alone, I've had over 16 inches of rain between yesterday & today. The most we have ever had here. They even had to close the interstates. I am on a hill, thank goodness, but a lot of people have had to be rescued. Just down the hill from me, houses have been flooded. It's terrible. I have a little water coming in my house on a room that used to be the carport before it was closed in. The people that lived here before put that in, so I don't know if it is fixed properly or not but that is my only problem, other than my tomatoes are standing in water & may be ruined! And, I have a huge limb down in my yard, several have been in wrecks, killed & homes destroyed, so I'm thankful, tomatoes can be replaced & what little water I have in that area is nothing compared to what others are going thru. Please pray for everyone in Nashville & surrounding towns. It's bad, the worst they have ever had here. And, it's still raining! It has stalled over this area, hopefully will be moving out within the next 3 or 4 hours. My heart goes out to all those people, it is awful to see what all they are going thru here.
Yes, it has been rough around here. I just saw on the news where a brick home was washed off it's foundation & across the road from where it used to sit. I know other places have had floods like this, but this has never happened here.
I'm so thankful my house is on a hill but so many others are not! It's really bad. We just look to the Lord in times like these. Our governor has already declared a diaster area, so hopefully these people will be able to get some help. They are setting up shelters.
I'm glad you posted. I've been thinking about you since the weather changed so drastically in your area. You are very lucky to be up on a hill!
Take care and you and everyone in the state are in my prayers.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
Yes, I feel very lucky to be on a hill. I'm watching all the news coverage & I'm just in shock to see all these places flooded. Some of the areas I know well & are not that far from where I live! Even the hospitals are getting water in them.
Hopefully the rain is going to end in a couple of more hours.
