And the date turned out great! He took me to a nice restaurant and we talked over dinner; very comfortable and relaxed. No booze, just iced tea.
We had hugged hello when we met at the place, and then, walking to our cars after dinner, we hugged again, and I just went for it and kissed him. No tongue, of course, but a nice kiss.
Then he texts me when he gets home that he had a nice time and wants another kiss next time.
