Because I was always paying my expenses and part of the house expenses, I am being more of a wife now and letting him pay more, funny thing is he enjoys it more.
K, this is important. I have found that men like to feel like they can take care of you, be 'the man' and that includes providing fully for their families. IMO, he may have felt like less of a man because you handled your own expenses and paid part of the house expenses too. I understand being independent, paying your own way, but the house expenses are 'family domain' and it's possible that he viewed you taking care of part of that as a lack of confidence in his ability. Good for you in allowing him to handle those things now. It really could be the boost he needed!
