So, spring was in the air at the Double K. Flowers were bursting forth, birds were chirping and Kara was....Kara-ing?
As Kara felt the crisp spring air, she reflected that seasons changed as did people and situations. Life was constantly evolving. Some changes were rapid and obvious. Others were imperceptible and gradual. Blink and you could miss them. But there they were...changes.
Some would say that the more things changed the more they remained the same. Was it possible for things to change and remain the same? Hmmm, these philosophical musings were all well and good but what was going on at the Double K?
There was a constant evolving there too. The new Kara was being shaped, growing, learning. A new Mr. Kara seemed to be slowly emerging. But as with the seasons, you couldn't rush evolution. It would take as long as it took and she trusted that it wouldn't take for ever. There was a season for everything and it was certain that spring always followed winter.
Kara realized that she was very blessed and decided that it was time to find a more concrete way to help others. She wasn't sure what form that would take yet but she felt a vague sense that she should be doing more somewhere. The somewhere would reveal itself in time.
In the meantime, Kara devoted her time to more self-examination, work with her IC, prayer, staying fit and eating right. She went to the movies, read books, listened to music, danced, ate at good restaurants, enjoyed her favorite foods. She laughed with Mr. K. She did it all with a happy and open heart. She still had some difficult moments as was to be expected. In other words, she did many things that "normal" people did. Some of which had seemed exceptionally hard and yes, impossible not so long ago.
Yes,spring was in the air at the Double K and Kara was thanking God for her many blessings. He was giving her beauty for ashes in so many different ways. And He promises to do it for all of us in the manner that He chooses
