Re: Wellbutrin/Zyban- can be great for depression and smoking cessation, BUT if you also have anxiety, it's not recommended- it can make anxiety worse- just fyi, don't know if that's a problem for you...

Atavan was my friend in Nov./Dec. But, be careful.... it can be hard to wean off if you get too dependent.

Don't let this break you. You are worth fighting for... fight for yourself! Fight for your own future. The emotional pain is real and horrible but it will not be forever.
Yes- Wellbutrin=BAD for panic. You definitely don't need more of that in your life! My BFF used to be a smoker and I went through her trying to quit with her- it was virtually impossible for her to do so in times of high stress (which seemed to be almost always), so be gentle with yourself around that right now. Also, from my experience, being around those theatre people every day is NOT good for quitting either!

I woke up today in unbelievable emotional pain. I don't know if I can do this.
Try to thought-stop about the future. Stay in the moment. Ask yourself if you can handle the pain of this very moment (hint: you can because you are surviving even though it feels overwhelming). Don't invite the fears and angst of the future in. You only have to deal with now.

I am very bad at thought stopping. I've been working on it for a while but my mind goes where it goes. I just try to stay busy to stay in th emoment.
Going dim still doesn't feel right. I hope you all are correct that it will pay off over time. If I were strong like some of you women and could give the impression I was moving on, it might work.
I've found thought stopping easier since the ADs kicked in. I think it's the reduction in anxiety. Wierd. Keeping busy is good too
After 3.5 months dim still doesn't feel right to me either. But from here it looks like you're already getting results. You're focusing more on yourself, and there has been less conflict. Those seem like really good outcomes to me!
And you are strong! Give yourself credit! You are dealing with very tough things there. It's so easy for me to be dim compared to your sitch.
