Yes... but hard when you remember the good stuff, too. They're both part of the same person. I guess it's just what comes out for real when the stakes are high/chips are down, etc. You see what someone is truly made of and whether they're who you thought they were or not. I like Michelle's analogy of them being possessed by aliens. Some days that seems to fit for some of us.
