I am back to exercising; I tend to lose a lot of motivation in the winter. I'm at a pretty decent weight; I am looking more to gain strength and just be more fit overall.
I have had a lot of physical issues but they seem to be mostly mitigated now. I am lifting weights and riding a bike and interspersing that with yoga.
It is easy for me to be motivated this time. of year. And it helps with stress.
Would like to hear from others who are working on this....

Forward, you and I don't often agree on this here, but this is one subject I am very good on!! It really doesn't matter what exercise program you do as long as you work at it hard and stay with it. Watch your calories, eat a lot of protein, keep carbs to a minimum, only eat sweets as a RARE treet and you will build the body you want. If you want specific advice on weights or cardio, just ask!! I am into powerlifting, if you have a facebook page, I will add you and you can see some of my lifting pics.
I do as much walking as I possibly can, considering the occupation I'm in. Usually I park toward the back of the truckstops, so I will HAVE to walk quite a distance to get to the front door.
My son is always calling me a stick, but I don't feel like one, LOL..I'm 5'3" weighing in at 140.
Exercise is good for you, and it does relieve stress, plus it burns calories.
Remember, as each person is different, every MLC/Transition is different..what works for one may not work for another. Most of the time it is trial and error for ALL involved.
Do you have any idea's or advice on how to beat a mental block?
NO matter what or how I cannot get past 180 lbs press. It is like a mental block. I psyche myself out, you have any ideas?
Incline press on a bowflex. Once I break the 180 degrees, I CAN put it up, but getting to break the 180 degrees with my upper arms...THAT is where I have problems.

Jack, I don't know much about the bowflex, I am not a big fan of machines, I am a free weight guy, but lets look at the routine you are doing. First, what set and rep scheme do you use? Do you simply try for an above 180lbs. max? You have to understand that strength gain is not linear, its up, down, steady. Does that make sense? If I max 450 on the bench in a meet, I need to back off and work for another max. This is done systematically. If you simply try to max all the time, you will plateau and fall back. Tell me what you typically do with sets, reps, and lbs. and we will see if we can get that bench moving upward!!!
