It seems that Option 2 is heavily promoted here, but I'm scared to death of sending her away with the possibility of her not coming back (which is what happened to her sister a few months ago in a similar situation), so I guess right now, I'm leaning towards Option 1.
Option 1 won't work, especially if it doesn't represent a "180" for you (and it doesn't).
