I Am Not Storing the flippin boat unless it's somewhere up a donkey's behind. I have given him a suggestion to get it over the last couple of months, last week sent an email, this week it will be a deadline. My L said a month notice... I said "heck, he's known since dec. he gets this stuff" So I just know he will leave town and I will be stuck another month. I want to clean that garage out and organize it my way (when the leg permits) so if he does't come and get his chit by then I'll stack it all in the boat and take it to a public parking lot and leave it. Not in my name so doesn't matter to me. I will give him proper notice of that. This is my decision after his comments about taking more stuff behind my back (threats) the other day. So I have officially changed locks and garage code stuff and he is not coming into the house till he stops his stupid little under the breath threats. So annoying but that man needs to be taught boundaries and one is to be respectful and cooperative.

Busy day, busy week (although not "Busiest Week Ever" as I proclaimed on FB--and my DB brother called me on it!)...

Chairing this Silent Auction entry is taking some effort. I did it last year, too. I think it is where the little control monster in my brain likes to thrive... If I wasn't in charge of it, how would I know the class would get a good entry? wink

One of the entries is already on display, the entire package is worth $45 retail. That means they got about $2/kid in donation money...not that I am competitive or anything... whistle

Our theme is Adventures in Art, we got a couple family passess to Omaha Children's Museum and a few (3) items of art supplies. I ordered a Melissa/Doug Art Easel hoping we would get some cash donations. We had $16 when I ordered it on the credit card, but thank goodness we got $50 more in the past 2 days!

So Amazon delivered my easel last night...I opened the box at 11:30 to assemble it...20 pieces of wood and NO instructions! After scanning the internet and downloading some random bloggers directions, I had it assembled by 1:30 a.m. ....actually was proud of myself since I was NEVER the 'assembler' in the family.

Kids woke up and saw the easel and they want it, so I guess I will bid on the entry that I helped make!

Friday is going to be busy bc we have to get the auction entries ready after school, then the carnival starts at 5. I am taking the kids from 5-6 then working the cotton candy machine from 6-7. My parents will come get the kids. Then as soon as I am done working I am supposed to go to the birthday party with GG...

So little clean-up-BBJ time between carnival and party...yikes!!

Oh, and I am throwing this out there...

I assume since he is taking me to a birthday party, and I have known the man of honor since 5th grade, I should bring a small gift?

Chad (bday boy) is a huge Huskers fan (ick) so I was going to swing by the Husker novelty store in Omaha tonight and pick up a coozie, bottle opener, or frilling implement. Something small but shows I know something about him!

Let me know your thoughts!

A local Portland boy played for the Corn Huskers and was pretty good. His name is Ndamukong Suh (House of Spears) and he will be in the NFL next year. If he is drafted by Detroit, it may be the answer that Brett Farve is looking for in deciding whether to retire.

Ok that was supposed to be grilling implement obv! smile

A coworker came in so I had to x out fast and didn't self-edit...

Reading Lola say how nice it was to have a 'normal' lunch date was thought provoking.

I thought I had come a long ways in recognizing 'normal', but then I gave R the benefit of the doubt bc I went to high school with him and he was a pretty good guy then. Not to say that he isn't now, but I just think it's rude to fall off the face of the earth after telling a girl you can't wait to go out with her. Last week on FB he said he hasn't had time to chat bc he is 'really busy' and 'trying to get caught up' but I know if I was seriously INTO somebody, I would at least have time to shoot out a text message or two somewhere in a week's time... Oh well I already realized I am not into him anyway.

Not sure if I am into GG yet or not. Haven't seen/talked to him in person in years, except for about 5 minutes at my 15 year reunion Fall 2008. I really liked him in high school--he and I were often smart@sses together--but we aren't in high school anymore and I am always curious when a guy is my age and has never been married...

Are you kidding? Suh is from Portland? All I have heard the past two years on tv/radio is Suh, Suh, Suh. They just played a song yesterday a send up of "A Boy Named Sue"...The birthday boy is a rabid Suh fan...

I think the main Husker turnoff for me is that they had their spring game last Saturday and so new coverage has once again become focused on Husker Football. I think that 10 months out of the year is Husker season........ blah

Suh went to the same high school my dad went to. Too bad he did not stay in the state as a Beaver or Duck.

He is a really good guy in that he has already donated $2.6 million of his future NFL earnings to the University of Nebraska.

He is going to be relentless and will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL. In a way, he reminds me of the late Reggie White.

Funny Kerry, I thought the same thing watching him especially last season. If he stays healthy I see him breaking some records in the NFL.

OK enough Husker talk--just kidding! But seriously, do you think I should take a small present with me? I haven't brushed up on my Miss Manners lately...I don't even know if GG told them he was bringing me along, hope it isn't rude!

I definitely need to get to more parties where the theme is not Hello Kitty or GI Joe... wink

My cousin had a 30th at the casino last December, but that was easy. We spent the entire evening in the bar so we all just bought her shots/drinks for gifts!

I think a small gift would be a good idea. Being thoughtful can never be wrong.
