When I first got on my first stair stepper I could only do it for 10 minutes at a time before I was out of breath.

But I never gave up.

4 stair steppers later, (Actually the last one is the bowflex treadclimber...or the scary pain machine as I like to call it)

I can do it for an hour or more twice a day AND play with Jim, Mach, Trapt and Cat shooting zombies.

Di,

IF you only look at the far distant end goal, you'll quit.

And - I'm ok with this. Was just looking for help from those with experience---and my situation (not ever having an identity) may require some professional help.......

I do read when I can (but haven't in forever). I have been exercising religously since the beginning of December. My day starts at 5 - so I can exercise, do a load of laundry, make breakfast, make lunches for me and the kids and feed the dog. Except for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (when H takes the kids to school), I take the kids to school and go to work (I work at the school) at 8.

I work until 4:30 (I post at work - which I need to stop). I take daughter to sb practice on Mondays (H takes son to baseball), both daughters on Wednesdays. Practice is from 6-8. I usually do my grocery shopping during this time. Sometimes there is something I have to run a kid to on Tuesdays (last night it was D13 to get her nails done - which I gladly did - big dance Friday night). And yes, it was H's night, but she wanted me to take her (would just be weird to have dad at the nail salon she said). I would have had mine done - but did that last week when I had Tuesday free---I do take time to do "things" for me-----but the bigger problem is the bigger issue (above).

Thursday - son has baseball practice. Friday - this time of year is usually free or the first tournament game. Last week I mowed when son was at baseball on Thursday(practice was close) - because games started Friday and the weekend was FULL of games. When the yard needs mowed twice a week....there may be a problem.

My evenings (on practice nights start at 9) - I feed the rest of the animals, more laundry, iron my clothes for the next day (except on rare occasions I have done some ahead of time). On practice nights (unfortuanately) it is usually fast food meals on the way home (Thank goodness for Jimmie Johns Veggie sandwich). Sometimes I get a meal cooked early, but lately things have been too crazy. I definitely cook on Fridays (when I have the kids) and every Sunday.

Last night after taking D to get her nails done, I got home at 8. I had an avocado, chips and wine for dinner (how awful was that!) and got in the hot tub---which two weeks ago I drained, cleaned out and refilled so would be ready for spring ----(naked) by myself. Like I said.....I probably need professional help.

You start at step one with that.

I have heard of people in reflection that have written their own epitaph of sorts.

Things they wanted to be remembered by, and qualities that they wanted to sparkle within themselves when that time comes.

Write that list, and look at it every night to make sure you were who you wanted to be.

Then ......Look around. There are things and places to start everywhere.

Start small and work towards the way you envision you being....

Small can be as simple as cleaning out the garage if you incorporate you in it.

Mach - this I can work with. Thank you.

How goes the not smoking?

Well to be honest I found a pack in my car yesterday afternoon, that my drunk firends had left when I was the DD on the weekend, and on my way to an afternoon event.

I was weak and light one, and after smoking a quarter of it, and gagging and my head was swimming I put it out.

So...ummmm good and bad, in that I smoked a part of one. Good in that it made me want to vomit and I felt like a scum bag weak willed piece of crap.
