I aspire to be like the greek god Batman! smile

Then I can take names and kick ass until no guy ever thinks to see my STBXW as a potential candidate.

Hey SR - wow I turn my head for a few days and your thread has exploded. I didn't realize that it had just been since March for you. Hang in there, you're doing great - your head seems to be working. I think all I was posting at this point was how miserable I was.

Anyway, your thread inspired me to submit a name change, will see if it takes (looks like they do have to approve it). I like "BraveRomeo" for you.

You're getting good advice, hang in there -

Thanks for stopping by Bill! I like your new alias smile

Not much to report other than the fact that DD cried this morning when I dropped her off at school and she just hugged my leg and wouldn't let go frown She's been sensitive lately.

We had fun yesterday...I also felt bad because I had to raise my voice at her last night since she was dragging her feet getting ready for bed. Of course she hurried up after that but also cried a bit and it broke my heart frown So today I'll spoil her as much as I can! I can't believe after 3 days not being with her tomorrow I won't have her again!

Driving into work this morning this song came on (by Ingrid Michaelson). Wonder if she considered coming over to the DB forums LOL. All joking aside the lyrics touched me, especially the bolded part - good song though:

Quote:

I don't want to be the one to say goodbye
But I will, I will, I will
I don't want to sit on the pavement while you fly
But I will, I will, oh yes I will

Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back around
Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back
The only way to really know is to really let it go
Maybe you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back to me

I don't want to be the first to let it go
But I know, I know, I know
If you have the last hands that I want to hold
Then I know I've got to let them go

Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back around
Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back
The only way to really know is to really let it go
Maybe you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back

I still feel you on the right side of the bed
And I still feel you in the blankets pulled over my head

But I'm gonna wash away, oh I'm gonna wash away everything til you come home to me

Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back
In the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back

Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back around
Maybe in the future, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back
The only way to really know is to really let it go

Maybe you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back, you're gonna come back to me
You're gonna come back to me
You're gonna come back to me

Ok, my dear, you need to get you some uplifting music now. I understand, believe me. My signature song has been "Please Don't Leave Me" by Pink these past couple of months. But it's better if we listen to things like "Eye of the Tiger" and "I Will Survive" right now so we don't wallow too much. Yes?

I'm still waiting to hear your GAL/activity plan while DD is gone with STBXW next week. wink

I just heard an ad for this organization on the radio, and no, I am NOT suggesting you or anyone here rush out and start DATING; this place bills itself as a club for people who are:

-looking to get out of the house and have more fun, or
-looking for new friends,
(OR hoping to find someone special to spend their life with)

Might be interesting to check out- for now, just for reasons #1 & 2- I think they have a branch in SoCal: http://www.eventsandadventures.com/.

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go;
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow;
Go ask Alice...
I think she'll know.

I sing Doris Day's Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps but use the words "Detach, Detach, Detach"

makes me laugh and helps me focus on what I need to do.

In the UK the Number One song is by a group called scouting For Girls and it is called "This Ain't a love Song, This is Goodbye" - the words resonate and it has a lovely upbeat tune - I imagine you can youtube it now.

lalxx, thanks I'll look up that song smile

Alice, you're right...and Pink huh? I didn't think you were the Pink kind...maybe Pink Floyd lol just kidding. I like Pink - some of her songs anyway. I'm working on the plan for when DD's away.

So STBXW sent me this email just now:

Quote:

DD is signed up for International Day for Daisy Scouts. It's on Sunday the 25th at XXX Beach and Tennis Club (I will get address) from 1-4 that day. If you can bring her to it, I can meet you there. We should be home from biking by then. She paid the fee for her badge and just needs a few dollars for tickets for the raffles and stuff there.

I also wanted to know if I could get a couple things from the house like bike pump, coffee maker and sewing box (got my machine but forgot that plastic container with my stuff.) I can take other things too if they are in the way.

Is there any way you can write me a check too? I am in between another extension and worried about getting my next couple of checks into the bank since they are behind and I'm going to be out of town from the 28-5th.

After so many times whenever I see her email (or my L's) my heart starts pounding and I brace for a new bomb. This wasn't too bad though.

I just don't like the fact that now I have to go to this thing that she planned on my day with DD and where her friend (who's house she's in) might be there too - her daughter and my DD have become good friends.

I don't have a problem with her taking stuff, those are her things anyway...meaning I don't sew or drink coffee. It's interesting she says she can take anything else that might be in the way. In the way of what? Those things have been in our house forever.

Money wise...there's plenty of it for now (before she gets half! as a reward for leaving me) so no problem. She didn't give me an amount so not sure if she wants a few hundered or a few thousand.

How do you guys suggest I should reply?

Just a quick suggestion on the $ - write a check for what you're comfortable with and give it to her. I recently asked the open ended question and was shocked and what she added up in her head.

But the time that I just wrote a check and said "here", she was happy with it -

OK gotta go

Thanks G!

Yeah I'm thinking of replying saying:

"I can bring DD there for a little bit. What exactly will they be doing there for that long anyway? I wanted to spend some time with her before you guys left. In fact, if you don't mind and she wants to I'd like to keep her the 26th too since you guys are leaving on the 27th?

You can pick up the coffee maker/sewing stuff stuff when you want.

No problem, I'll leave the check in DD's cubby for you."

What say you guys?

CoolRomeo? cool

That club that Alice posted about looks like a good thing to check out! I feel you on how hard it is to branch out socially, but it's time! My outing with strangers was easier than I expected. People go to things like that because they are friendly and interested in getting to know people.
