The username change believe it or not I don't really care about. I'd have to request it changed through one of the moderators here because I can't change it myself but I really don't pay attention to it, it's just a username...

It's not just a username. It's how you're presenting yourself to a community of people who you share many of your deepest feelings and thoughts. You picked that username because you think you've been stupid, or are stupid. Even if you still think that, it's time to do the little things to project a different image outward.

How you present yourself creates a lot of feedback loops because people react to you differently, and that affects how you feel about yourself. You can't change your self-esteem overnight, but you can start making little changes that reflect a choice to take a more positive view of yourself.
