I doing well. Working on my financials for the D this weekend. Took the kids out for our usual Friday night out. Me and the boy went bowling Sat. night while the daughter went with mom to a Disney on Ice thing.
Sunday, me and the boy cleaned house. Of course, I had to bribe him. LOL!
I drink everything! Not much though lately. Just some wine here and there. And single malts. Trying to stay away from escaping into drink. I do love me some bourbon in the fall though!

In the end...I want my kids to see parents that get along and are not bitter. I can do that; I pray that she can as well.
MC - I have a D18 (yea, I know I look way too young to have a GRADUATE!), but her Dad and I divorced when she was barely two. He was an alcoholic, and caused a lot of hel1 in her life growing up. I remarried when she was four, and, one of the biggest regrets my H and I both have, raising her, is that we couldn't take away the "turmoil" in her life (caused by her Dad's drinking). You have an amazing attitude, and if you can keep the bitter away, that's 95% of the battle. My H has been an amazing StepDad to D18, but he reminded me constantly to blow off my steam away from her, and he suffered w/not being able to influence her time when she was at her Dad's, suffering.
So, if you can keep the bitterness away, you'll be WAY ahead of the game!!

Grit..thx for checking in...Yes, the D is still in the works tho not much progress for now. I've been waiting until I do my taxes and then work out a budget before I get back to her on her proposal.
Though we had a very interesting phone convo this evening.
So tonight she asks if I would be interested in accompanying her to a black tie affair on April 30. It would be an event that is regarded highly in our city social scene. I would love to go; but I really don't feel like going with her. Wonder if she'd let me bring a date???? hmmmm
