Question

I did ask H why he wanted to take me out Saturday. He said it was becuase it was my birthday and I did stuff for him on his birthday. I told him that I only wanted to do something if he really wants to. I don't want an obligation dinner. I want to be celebrated. I said if he didn't want to do something for me that I was ok with it. If he wants to really celebrate the day of my birth then I am ok with that too, but don't do it out of obligation. He never told me one way or another if he was going to still make plans so I am planning on nothing, but I hate pity. I feel that way every time I am invited to the in-laws. They invite me because I have S, and when it is a gift event like Christmas, last year mother's day, easter, etc. I get something even more horrible than usual, and it usually feels very rushed (MIL is a horrible gift giver...H will agree. He got underwear and undershirts for easter this year). I just want to feel loved and I don't need H to feel that way. I feel that way every day when S smiles at me or I hang with my fam and friends.

Let me be the first to say Happy Birthday (in two days). I've never been to Cheesecake Factory. They have one in the burbs. That's on my list to take someone special someday.

That's good that you told him to only do it if he really wants to. In some ways, I'm sure you want to just say, let's go for it, but if it's not for the right reasons, then of course it's better off not to go down that road in the first place. Did you ever hear back from him?

Got a good morning text from H and that was it. I was thinking the last few days, he does have my DR book...is he trying to go dark on me? I don't think he would because as far as I know he doesn't know if he wants in this relationship still or not, but it would be funny if he was.

I over heard my brother and sister talking about some of our friends are and are not coming to something that I know nothing about. Maybe a get together for my b-day? That would be really sweet! I am not getting my hopes up, but who knows.

Right now i am tired, but needed some time away from S. I love him to death, but as all the parents know...sometimes you need a break so I am going to hulu a show and watch it downstairs then go and get some sleep.

I wouldn't count on H following any DR principles (ie going dark) b/c he hasn't shown any other examples yet. But at least he is still trying to make some effort with the good morning texts and b-day plans, so I just really hope it's for the right reasons.

Well I really hope you have a great b-day tomorrow. I know you don't think much about it, but you deserve a wonderful day. I hope whatever you do (time w/ S, party w/ friends, or dinner w/ H, etc), makes you happy! Happy happy birthday! =)

So today I finished cleaning the house and pricing some of S's old clothes for a children's resale my SIL is in charge of. I get to keep 90% of the money that comes from my items so that will give me around $80 which is cool. I still kept a lot of S's stuff (4 totes worth over his 2.5 years), but some of it I can't sell due to small stains or rips, and others I really like and whenever I have another baby if I have a boy I would love to use it again.

S surprised me tonight (early b-day present). I said it was bed time so he went straight up to his room. I helped him get on his PJs, but he wanted to sleep in his bed. He hasn't slept in his own room since December and only then for about a week. I didn't even make him go. He went on his own!?!? I don't know what made him change, but I am excited. I have a few more clothes to price and then I am off to bed...alone. I am going to get to get some good sleep because S won't be kicking me in the back. Yeah!
