Sounds like you have some great plans in place for the summer! Kids and I are going to Chicago, hit up the field museum, Shedd aquarium, navy pier, grant park...very excited and they picked out the hotel with me and cannot wait!
Sorry you are in a rough patch...a few hours ago I was feeling quite 'woe is me' but I try to keep focusing on the good stuff, times with my kids, etc and trust that things will only get better...
