you may not want to date then..cause i can tell you from experience..dating these days..is part game playing...

I have not gotten the feel of game playing while dating. Maybe I have been lucky in that I have yet to be on a date where I felt like I needed to escape or puke.

The latest lady, who I have met twice and email almost daily for the last month, seems to have a mutual interest in me. We really seem to converse quite well and have similar attitudes/beliefs/values. Another cool thing is we both have the same first name (different spelling), similar work and are both coming up on our big five oh birthdays. I have some kid free time coming up while my X MIL and neice are here from Thailand so I will have more time to do some things with her.

No expectations. Just easy going happy go lucky time together.

So I went with my gut instinct and with a bit of Mike's guidance and shot a quick text out over my break...

"Hey just checking--were you still interested in going out this weekend? I think it would be fun...unless you would rather just stick to having thoughts "

See? Like I said I have a hard time not letting my sarcasm sneak in! But I meant it in a playful way not a bitchy one and I know he will get that based on prior conversations.

At this point the ball is in his court. Garmin, TomTom, GPS, whatever could not draw a clearer map. I am just gonna let it go and see what happens.

Meanwhile, I think my mom might be on this site (Hi Mom! Please disregard the naughty messaging stuff! )...

Seriously I don't know but the second the rain started pouring down hard I got a text from her: This is your kind of day!

So either she is reading along or she just remembers from childhood that I love storms and rain...

Oh and last night she called me 3 (THREE!) times to see 'how I was' and 'what I was doing'...and she was all choked up sounding. Wanted to make sure I was ok....

I do know that she somehow monitors FB bc she called to tell me something my sister posted on there. Weird bc she does not even have a computer let alone internet. But my uncle, her brother, is a serious gossip/busybody and trolls the internet on a daily basis...for example he emailed me 6 months ago that I really should take the homesteader's option on my real estate taxes, he saw on line that I hadn't and it was a real money saver...........!

So if you are there Mom, Uncle Bob, howdy!

Hi Bobbi Jo's mom!

My mom is one of my FB friends and it has not caused me any trouble yet. I have not been told to go to my room.

I have a GPS Navigator in my van. When I try taking a different route that it does not like, it has a female voice that says "U turn if possible". I keep thinking that one day it will say "Why dont you just stop and ask someone for directions".

If I got a text from a nice lady like you just sent, I definitely would be pulling a U-Turn.

Oh, Kerry....that was so sweet!

Mine will say, "Recalculating route" and then "Please make the next legal u-turn"....when I get off the path...it is in my phone though, I don't have one in my car. But I like it that way bc I can use it when I drive the school vehicle or even if I am walking somewhere...

Gotta go home and change for the track meet. Yay track!

if I would have been invited over for a late night movie...I would have left a trail of bread crumbs/trail markers/marked a favorite on my GPS...
