That is too funny bc it is so close to the truth...my first reaction after the second message re. how they looked was to reply, "They look great you did a good job daddy"
But then I realized I didn't want to call him a good dad cause even though he is taking care of them good daddy's don't cheat on their wives and leave them....
You know I was posting on a newby thread and it reminded me of the times last August when Dan was texting me that he HAD to get a D bc he COULD NOT DEAL WITH ME ANYMORE....he didn't want to have anything to do with me.....
And yet here he is seeking me out for validation...
So I just replied, "They looked cute as always I was only at board meeting with R for Speech Kids, so I didn't stay. I do know they were only discussing revenue not expense so no news on my job."
He replied back immediately, "Did Sydney show you her flower"
Um wha????? Cause I went in her classroom for a visit?? Um, nooo. Just replied back "Nope"
He replies "Oh, because I picked a flower for her this morning"
Don't validate him. Don't answer. It doesn't need answering. The kids don't care. He is reaching out to speak to you everyday... have you noticed this? Your not ready to be his friend quite yet.
Gotta love Sydney!

True....that is why I was sure not to say "good daddy", or pat him on the head, or give him a biscuit...
But you are right I suppose even acknowledging the question was giving him my attention, which apparently he wanted?
It just goes against my nature to be asked a direct question and ignore it, from anybody not just him...however if it is not necessary I will try not to comment...
