Finally found R's # in an old email Kat...although I figure if he wanted to reach me, he had my #... smile I did text him last night re. a meeting we have tonight for speech (actually we are presenting our all state kiddos to the school board at the board meeting tonight). He replied back and asked about my weekend. We had a very brief exchange but I was busy and tired....supposed to go out with him Weds.

Mish I think that's funny, that is the song I was thinking of when I named my thread...word is finally circulating that I am 'available' and it is fun to know there are interested guys out there. I still think I will have better luck dating an old friend/acquaintance from my area v. a stranger on match...

I tend to agree with this. I much prefer getting to know someone first casually, having time to be around them in daily life events to judge their character, before I begin to think about them possibly being an intimate "match". The whole thing with match to me is backwards - I'm meeting someone for the first time to see if I'm attracted to them and want to date them. Of course maybe I'm just weird. crazy Who knows.

So we were at the school board thing, R was already there with some kids in the foyer of the high school...it was kind of weird bc I hadn't seen him since the non-booty-call movie night... smile Plus the kids were there so it was all business. I think we traded about 12 words the whole time...

Well I get home and get online and 20 minutes later I get my phone to call my mom and there is a text from R, "Your hair looked nice tonight"...I hadn't replied so then he sent 5 min later, "How was your day?" Love how they reach out when you don't... smile

OK seriously gotta buckle down. Been home for 90 minutes. So far all I have accomplished was IM'ing on facebook with 4 different people overlapping at different times, meanwhile calling the Nutrisystem people to suspend my order, also checking voicemail from Dan and replying to that, and then answering a call from mom on my home phone. Phew!!! I am so done with technology so I better go clean something... smile

Oh this is too funny....

Just got a text from Dan. He had the kids last night overnight, first Monday overnight he has done... So anyway he asks "Kids look ok?"

Apparently he is needing my validation that he did a good job getting the kids ready for school?

Considering I took care of them pretty much entirely by myself up until two months ago (I mean in terms of feeding/dressing/grooming/etc), during which time he hated when I sought validation bc caring for them was my job and not something I should expect 'credit' for, this, to me, is funny.

Seriously, at 9:15 it was weighing on his mind how I thought they looked? smile

Oh and as I was coming in to school today the preschool kids were heading in for breakfast. I gave Sydney a hug and then chatted for a second with her teacher. I told her I wasn't sure Sydney would tell her she needed breakfast (I feed them at home so she almost never eats at school in the a.m.)...

But Sydney's teacher laughed and said, actually, all kids that come in on the daycare bus are given breakfast bc they know the daycare didn't have time to serve before school...and that when she told Sydney she had to come because she didn't have breakfast, Sydney's reply was,

"Yeah we didn't eat with dad cause we don't even have a TABLE!!" grin

So teacher asked if they ate in the living room and Sydney said, "No, we have ta GO eat someplace...."
Gotta love the honesty of kids...
