I'm afraid you are all right about FWB's just not working between us. The funny thing is that I'm the one that seems to be putting up walls between us, just being very offhand with him and he's the one that walks up behind me and grabs my butt playfully or jokes about the amount of cardio that must be involved in our extracurricular activities. Good GOD! WTH?
I'm going to have to sit him down and have a talk about boundaries with him ASAP. I think I need him to voice what he thinks is going on. I know what I want and what I don't want but I'm not very good at saying it out loud. Next hurdle!
And this is why, call me crazy, I would be better at FWB with just about anyone other than Dan....too close for comfort!

You could always say "Hey, since you're not paying rent of 'X' amount", each time you put a smile on my face and a spot on the bed, we'll call it 'X' amount toward it, poor performances equals lack of credit".

Sounds like he is full in "I love you and I need a place to stay" mode... What a jerk! (sorry). I mean you can do whatver you want with him or to him, or have him do anything you wish to you -LOL- but plllllease!! This man has no pride, no scruples, no brain...
Just use him. I doubt it you can pull it off for a long time and not have it become comlpicated (soudns like you already feel that) but it will be another lesson learnt down the road. And who knows? Miracles never seize to happen although I wished a different miracle for you my sweets. K

Maybe it is just me, but the thought of having sex with my XW makes me want to barf. She is just a dangerous dragon lady in my mind. The STD she got through bar hopping is a huge deterrent for me too!
