Perfect!
I think it's great that the two of you had that conversation now. I do think you want to be careful not to overdo "planning", a little bit of spontaneity is still a good thing!

I kind of wish there had been more time between your D, and things starting with R. Though I think that, like me, you knew your M was over a long time before it ended. R seems like a great guy, and obviously he reads you pretty well already. But the first relationship after a long one is tricky, and has a lot of things against it. So I almost with you were dating a jerk first!

HUGS!!!!!

Oh, and you might be able to make something of Sadie Hawkins day, I would think Iowans would celebrate that one! Of course, that's a ways off too.

Jeffers! smile My first thought earlier was Sadie Hawkins but I thought it was a Dawgpatch/Hillbilly kind of thing. smile

I agree with not overplanning. After all you want some fun and curiosity there! I was just glad to get the generals down--yes I like to flirt but I am not a hookup queen so don't get your expectations up on that front!

That was the prob on match, I know a lot of those guys expected lots of physical stuff right away.

Jeff I still wouldn't call it a relationship. We had one non-date of wings and a movie when I wasn't sure if we were going as friends or as a date...then he came over for one whopping hour the other night to watch a movie!

And re. dating a jerk, don't forget the guy that made me vomit! smile smile smile

I don't want a serious R. But having a good friend to hang out and be sarcastic with and still get to kiss on occasion, that works for me. But I reserve the right to withhold judgement until I find out if he is a good kisser or not. That is a deal breaker!

Well, SH is a Dogpatch thing, but you use what you are given, right?

Good point, there was the vomit guy! I wasn't going to count that as an R either!

Your current friendship may not be an R, but it is headed that way. Seems like two good people to me!

You know with the phone issue, he may have thought you were backing off. I just replaced my phone because I was having loads of issues with it, one of which my texts wouldn't always go!

Happy flirting!

Seeing as R is just as young as you then the fact that he's never been M'd is not that big a deal. I wouldn't call that a red flag at all. He's only 33???? People are waiting longer and longer to M so that is nothing! smile Enjoy yourself and hopefully you get some kissing in soon!

Did I mention I love this time of year!? Today is the season opener for Boys' Track. I get to be a timer.

Most people hate having to work school events--by contract we are required to work two...but I always work all the cross country and track events and usually a football game. Track is by far my favorite!

I get to work as a timer tonight. That is my favorite bc you sit/stand (I stand) at the finish line with a group of 6-8 people. You each get to hold an Alex Trebek/Jeopardy-style button thingie to use for timing. They have come a long way from stopwatches! smile grin

Mainly I like it bc it is usually a fun group of smart@ss men and me...love it! Witty banter rocks....

Oh yeah, I am sure the Tigers will be represented! smile When I was a H.S. cheerleader I won a raffle during a basketball game in Red Oak. At half time they spread quarters all over the gym floor and I had one minute to grab as many as I could and put them in a bucket. I got $15 for a 50-cent ticket! smile

I wonder what I looked like crawling frantically around the gym floor in a cheerleading skirt? eek Glad there was no YouTube back then!

Scarily enough, the year I visited him in Red Oak was the year of the big flood.... '93? Which would have had you, maybe, in HS?
