I am going to go with Pissy just cause it needs a turn again! Trying to not make anyone feel bad that I had a GOOD Friday. Kind of hard sometimes to post the good stuff but if you guys are ok, I will keep you updated.
Enjoy tomorrow off, I am back to work. Boo hoo.

I don't know what to say about R. If I found a hot lady ready for a makeout session I'd probably put the full-court press on. Perhaps he's reverse DBing you, trying to draw you in.
Or his telephone may be on the fritz.
Dan -- it's weird you guys are in touch so often. Or at least it is to me. W and I are on so NC that it's startling to actually hear from her. It's really as if we don't exist to each other. That's likely a lot of my fault. As it sunk in this wasn't going to turn around I've withdrawn more and more. She WANTED to be friends. I didn't. It was all-or-nothing with me. Maybe that will change in the future.
Does Dan know about R? I think it'll be interesting to see his reaction.

No,Dan has ZERO idea about R, except for knowing he is the other speech coach so I spend time with him for work, travel together, etc. He doesn't know that we went on a date or that he came over the other night. Not like that is something you casually slide into a conversation!
Again, I am not out chasing Dan down. I really don't contact him much. I did send him a "Happy Easter" text at 10 this morning after church, but that was it. Only once he texted tonight to see where I was did I think of him again!! Then I felt kinda bad I didn't have the kids call him. I know his mom and dad went to his sister's house 90 minutes from here for the day. I doubt he went so he prob spent the day on his own which would be weird for a holiday. Granted who knows he could have spent the day with the old ow? Not my concern...
So long story short, yeah he is contacting me fairly often. My counselor predicts that the more I pull away the more he will contact. I try not to worry about it!
Thanks for the feedback re. R though. I am a little confused too. I am not deeply invested so if it turns out to be nothing then so be it....however it is a little odd to me given he was heavy duty flirting then showed up at my house at 12:45 a.m., then nothing.
Maybe he really wanted to do something and then wasn't sure...thinking maybe it was too much too soon. So he is drawing back. Then again we all know what I fine guy I would make, so take that all with a huge grain of salt! LOL

So, BBJ, could he have been scared off when you answered the door in lingerie? LOL
J/K - He's probably just a bit gun shy. I have an idea. Next time you go on a date, if he doesn't initiate a kiss... Grab his head, both hands, lean in... and lick his eyebrow. He'll get the hint.

After many years w/my head in the sand... I FILED Divorced 6/2011
The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
hey BBJ, Don't think we have enough info to come to a conclusion on R's disappearance. I may be a cave man ... but I go over to a lady's house at 12.30 AM (after she invites me) and I am not leaving empty handed :-). The only thing that would make me freeze up and then go dark is if I lost total interest or if I had second thoughts. How long has R been divorced? Sorry I am being so blunt...just giving you my POV. There are a few other hypotheses including a phone problem and being gun shy. That may be so.....I just wanted to give you my Flintstone take on things.
The R thing is weird. The communiction world is way to easy. When FFG forgot his phone charger at work and it died, he called from a co-workers phone.
Maybe he thought you would jump him? I agree no more contact initiated on your end. You'll see him today at work?

Well, I got a text early this morning that said "Just got three messages from you on my phone, looks like they were sent over the weekend sometime, sorry!" and then asking what I am up to. So who knows? I haven't replied yet bc I just got out of bed honestly. I will reply later...besides I don't want to give the impression that I am staring desperately at my phone waiting for a message!
John I don't know what you'll think of this, but R is not divorced. He has never been maried...he has moved a couple times for teaching jobs but other than that I have no idea why he hasn't gotten married yet.
OK gotta jump in the shower so I can go pick up the kids! We are off school again today for Easter break, go back tomorrow.
If the first contact a woman does to me is to lick my eyebrows, the hint I will be getting is of Mike from Tennessee's favorite psychological term.
A recent lady (42) I met for golf also had never been married. Told me she had her heart broken many times. That in itself was a red flag warning. However, I did not get married until I was 38, but I also did not have my heart broken many times.
So I don't know what the story with R is, I do know while were were at All-State he was complaining about his phone. While we were eating dinner he looks at his phone and says, "Oh I see, yes we need to meet to get pictures taken! "---responding to a message he had just gotten that I had sent several hours earlier.
Then on the Dan front, he wanted to take the kids for lunch in town. I called after I picked them up from my mom and he tells me the restaurant in town. I get the kids out, he gets out of his truck and says, "Are you coming in?" I said, "Oh did you want me to?" He says, "Yeah...well if you haven't eaten..." So I went in and he bought lunch so hey, free lunch! We haven't eaten together in 2 months...but the kids liked it.
Sydney wanted me to go to the farm with them but I told her I had plans. Now, to print off the last of the taxes!
