It turned out really well. I was a tad late because we had some really bad storms just outside of Topeka and all the way to Kansas City. Once I got past that it wasn't too bad and I was just 10 minutes late but I did call him a good 15 minutes ahead of time to let him know I was running late.
Talked and ate for a couple of hours. Went over my taxes, showed me around the little town and ended up being together for about 6 hours! So much for being home early. I had a fantastic time. I also think as I said before we are on the same page, so that works.

I just have to make a quick comment: If you ever have the opportunity to make out in a gentle rain, yes outside, do it. It is pretty cool and dare I say romantic.

Kat...I am so jealous!!!! But yay for you. I have danced in the rain once in college, that was awesome and while it was happening I made a mental note to take it in...but never kissed in it. That is a little fantasy of mine, too! No fair!
Good for you. I am glad you had a wonderful time in KC. I just got my computer sorted out and sent you a msg in the alternative world. You deserve all the happiness you can get.

Thanks guys. It was pretty cool. We were talking about what we each wanted to happen when we met for lunch, well besides lunch that is. I told him that I saw us kissing while leaning against his car. So he just said ok, lets do it! Even though it was raining, he didn't care. No wonder it was so romantic in "The Notebook"!!
We talked a lot which I know is a girl thing but it was really good because we were both saying what we wanted. He was even saying that so many people that he knew griped how so much seemed to go out of their relationship once they got married. We thought that was because people stopped making dates and taking the time for each other. We were probably both guilty of that too.
Oh well we are just taking this one step at a time. That is a bit harder than I thought it might be but I am focusing on that. Slow is a good thing.

I did too!! 2 years and 4 months is a long time!! What was so funny is that after we drove around he found a place out by a lake to park and go over my taxes. He said we are going to go over your taxes and then make out! So we went over my taxes, I signed everything and then he said "OK let's make out"! We both just laughed and said that was really awkward. Just gave it a few minutes and everything kind of came back.
Neither of us wanted to go home. Maybe it was a good thing that we picked a place half way between our homes.
