Well... the boys are busy today. They're putting in waverunner lifts and doing maintenance and cleaning the waverunners. They have off school all week next week, so plan on being on the water non-stop. Isn't it a little cold? Sheesh!
H is really relaxed today. He loves the outdoor watersports. And, we have some new news. One of the boys that taught our boys to wakeboard, and has pretty much become like a son to H (he's 22) is going to live w/us once he gets out of school in May. He's an outstanding young man, plays soccer for a great state school, is going to help coach at the boys soccer club, and will be here everyday to take them on the boat and boarding once they are out of school. It's a win win all around. D18 is pouting around, though. Let's just say he's blonde, tan, fit, and the nicest boy you'll ever meet. LoL I just adore him and his family. All good stuff.
I am letting lunch settle, then doing my run.
Then, it's off to stock the house w/food for an entire week of them home! H said... "Better make two trips!"

S13 got his boating license last year... after a class and an online test. So, he can drive the waverunners on his own. They sucked up about $80 a week on waverunner gas last summer, but smiled non-stop! Ha! I let them go, at their free will, between these two bridges on our river, where I can see from my home office (mostly). And, they just gogogo... It'll be good this summer, though, as my S13 is going to be reffing for soccer game, and the complex is on the river, up about five miles. He thinks he is driving himself to reffing on the waverunner! LoL Works for me, AND he gets to contribute to the gas bill!
Here's the question... What do I call the 22 yo boy that will be staying w/us? VB22 (visitor boy 22?) LOL

OK, no one freak... but, H and I normally get along very well... No real issues except for his snarkiness sometimes, and I'm learning to deal w/that pretty well.
BUT, get this...
We had an amazing, connecting day/night yesterday. He worked w/the boys doing waverunner stuff most of the day, but then, this may sound mundane, but we had almost nothing to eat in the house. These boys and their posse devour everything! So, H, the boys and I did the Sam's Club and grocery store run. And, in between we went to this SUPERB restaurant (local owned, freshest seafood avail in the midwest, home-made pastas, and desserts that make you cry to look at them - AND it has a "pub" side, where we went). So, Sam's Club shopping was a blast... Who has ever said that? Considering we were out of EVERYTHING, it got chaotic. Two huge carts full of stuff, etc... Dinner was AMAZING! I know the management staff at the restaurant, and my fave bartender was there (yes, folks, I kissed him hello again, as always, and in front of H! LOL Remember that conversation? ) And, grocery shopping was quite fun, considering we were just starting it at, now 10pm.
So, how was that amazing and a connection?
#1 - I was having a particularly skinny day, so I dressed great, and looked great. #2 - We saw probably seven different people we knew while out and about... At least five of them commented on how great I looked, in front of H! (BEAM) #3 - H was playful and fun. #4 - I started being "in his space" more, and he didn't back away, like he normally would have... In fact, he came into "MY space" A LOT! #5 - In return, he was "PRAISED" and loved. #6 - Just once, all day, there was a hint of snark. I called him on it, not so gently and immediately, and he told the boys... "Boys, be prepared if you marry a sassy one, to be told what you need to be told once in awhile." (LOL)
So, we came home, colored Easter Eggs (at midnight!), and put away ALL OF THE GROCERIES. UGH!
Finally, about 2am we went to bed. He didn't go lay down w/the boys, or go mess around w/them for a little bit. He came to bed w/me, at the same time, not sneaking in later. He's lucky I have practiced self-control, because I had almost none after that good of a day.
