I'm a little surprised that R didn't try to push the boundaries a little... but on the other hand, being at your house at two in the morning might have been enough boundary pushing for one night! Perhaps he is being a little careful with his heart, as well. HE might have thought that after such a good evening (ok morning!), trying to push might leave things on a negative note, and that would have been sad.
