That's the weirdest date I've ever heard! I don't think going on a first date with the parents is exactly the way you'd script it!

Hi Jeff. Nice to meet you.

That was definitely was weird. I know everything was innocent, but at times I sure felt a little weird/guilty. Both my friends there know my sitch. I'm not sure if my band pal's W is talking with my W lately. Making my W jealous was the last thing on my mind.

Given the situation, I would say you have a fun evening with some friends. One of whom happened to be an attractive young woman. From what I read, I don't really think you went past any lines, though you might have been able to see them from where you were!

I will say this... a little validation from a lady does a lot for the PMA! I have been stepping out of my comfort zone, and the results have been a bit surprising to me! I haven't kept up with your sitch (I've been trying, no real successfully to wean myself from the boards!) but perhaps there's a way to spin the self confidence into the your interactions with your W.

I am not a supporter of the jealousy card that some think is a good idea. But confidence and a bounce in your step can't be a bad thing.

There you go, mindfull, advice! smile

I wouldn't necessarily say I "can dance". But I'm not as bad a Elaine on "Seinfeld". {George:} "It's like a full body dry heave set to music."

And there have been rare instances when I haven't been stellar at avoiding the technicolor yawn.

Fergie - I'm dying here. My husband told me about five years ago... "You know, you're kind of reminding me of Elaine on Seinfeld!" (while dancing) Nice

It certainly helps. I'm not sure how I feel about the jealousy card. I think if I chose to play it, it would not go over well.

I agree. I don't really go for the manipulation sort of thing. And that's what the jealousy card feels like to me. Plus it usually involves putting other people in a position that they shouldn't be in. I'm not going to say it would never work, just that I don't think it's something I would do or advise. Then again, I am now divorced!
