Aver... it sounds like you have a basic understanding of EMDR, if not look farther back in my thread. My IC didn't seem to have any trouble using it with new trauma. I had great results. Look back in my thread. It helped anxiety a lot but I found it only lasted a few days. My IC said most people need a few sessions.

Definitely recommend it! My IC also uses mindfulness techniques. Hope that goes well for you! I haven't checked your thread for awhile... need to do that.
