I agree- although w/o family and children, you would "selfishl" be saving your dignity, almost like a "well eff you too"

Exposure gives you the opportunity to stand up for the M and "fight the good fight"

It also allows you to exhibit strength, devotion, and "tough love", and hopefully- ultimately forgiveness
